Acquisition is a critical part of our growth.

In January of 2013 we were no longer satisfied with 28% organic growth.  (If you had my Mother, you wouldn’t be either. She set a high bar.) So we acquired The Compass Network (in San Diego) and were off to the races. It was understood from that point forward that our growth would be organic coupled with acquisition.

As a result, we’ve appeared on the Inc. 1000 list of the fastest growing, privately-held companies twice in the last three years (2017, 2019). Of course, this has not helped with Mom who still maintains I should have been a doctor.

The map below will show you the acquisitions we’ve completed since 2013. Bottom line: It’s a process we take quite seriously.  As the owner of an executive search & recruitment firm, an interim staffing firm or an HR solutions firm, you’re not going to let anyone run with your legacy.

That’s where Shepherd comes in. The firms we’ve acquired have all grown under our leadership for three reasons: Culture, Technology and a Systematic Approach. I’d like to make it sound more complicated but it’s not. Every firm we’ve put under our umbrella is better off today than it was pre-acquisition.

The results? Stronger revenues, centralized systems, improved retention, higher profits, more services and a happier workforce.
